Training, Education & Information
MAC’s professional expertise is in delivering training to the workforce in residential facilities, community care and on-demand requests. The trainings are informed by the principles of Cultural Intelligence (CQ), the Diversity Framework and encompass Cultural Awareness, Competency and Safety. Some of our key trainings are delivered in collaboration with specialist organisations and cover topics such as Dementia and Palliative Care: CALD perspectives. We also deliver tailored sessions for service providers’ unique needs (in English and LOTE), Arm Chair Travel, Advanced Care Directives, and, the Diversity Frame Work and CALD Action Plans.
Regional SA. We travel to regional centres as an integral component of our work. Twice yearly visits embrace the breadth and width of SA: Ceduna, Coober Pedy, Eyre Peninsular, Yorke Peninsula, Riverland and Mt Gambier. Established and new collaborations are a focus with regional providers and community.
New and ongoing relationships and collaborations continue with ACCPA, NARI, FECCA, PCAN, OPAN and NACA, Community of Practice (Palliative Care: CALD perspectives) etc.
