PHI (Preventing Harm Initiative) will be delivering the training.

PHI is an innovative, interactive and competency-based and e-learning training provider using highly visual, interactive and relevant to your target learners. PHI has a wealth of experience ranging from front-line to upper-level management across the Aged Care, Health, Quality, Disability and International Aid sectors.

Course outcomes
•Recognise the intent and understand the expectations of the revised Quality Standards
•Know the actions to take to achieve compliance
•Receive a Gap Analysis tool for each standard to support your readiness, identify gaps and guide improvement

Duration: 4 hours
Standard 1: The Person
•Assist you to meet the requirements for quality care by valuing each person’s individual priorities and embracing diversity to better connect with their unique background and experiences
•Gain ideas and participate in how to achieve these requirements

Standard 3: The Care and Services
•Focus on the requirements for delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care and services, including the importance of reablement, optimising function, timely plan reviews, and aligning care with the person’s needs and preferences
•Participate in discussion on what this looks like in practice

Standard 4: The Environment
•Covers the requirements to recognise environmental risks, and create a safe and supportive physical environment
•Explore a case study on how various position and role responsibilities can help achieve these requirements
