In the last 2 weeks there have been new guidance resources of information provided by the Department of Health Disability and Ageing and the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.
It is important to understand your responsibilities and getting your organization prepared appropriately for 1 July .As providers it is particularly important to ensure that all deadlines are met in relation to moving forward with the Aged Care Reforms.

New guide-Transition to Registered supporters
- A new guide is available to help you understand the transition of representative relationships in My Aged Care to the new registered supporter role.
Supporting Unassessed grandfathered clients
- Grandfathered CHSP clients must be assessed as eligible for CHSP through My Aged Care by 30 June to continue receiving government-subsidised services from 1 July.
The Government Provider Management System-System updates and actions for Providers
There are system changes to the Government Provider Management System (GPMS) to support the new Aged Care Act. Providers must finalise any changes to their Approved Provider information in the GPMS portal by midnight 20 June.
