MAC BOC Consultation: Exposure Draft new Aged Care Act
MAC is facilitating the only SA CALD CHSP consultation to overview the exposure draft of the new Aged Care Act.
The time has come for all CALD CHSP service providers and our consumers to make the voices of our CALD communities heard!
As we are all aware there are significant Aged Care sector changes proposed to begin 1 July 2024:
- The introduction of new Aged Care Act
- The Strengthened Standards
- Single Assessment System
During the consultation, we will present an overview of the new Aged Care Act: exposure draft – Consultation paper no. 2 and discuss:
- Chapters 1,2,3,7 and 9 (Reform Timeline and Readiness support)
All your concerns, views, feedback and recommendations will be collated and be included in the ongoing official departmental consultations.
During our consultation the following topics will be addressed:
- Definition and key concepts
- Aged care rights and principles
- Supporters and representatives
- Classification
- Provider registration categories
- Obligations
- Statutory duty and compensation
- Timeline and readiness support
