MAC Learning & Development Collaborative
Co-designing culturally inclusive workforce learning
The MAC Learning & Development Collaborative is a sector-led initiative that brings together trainers, facilitators, and aged care practitioners to co-design and enhance workforce training with a strong focus on continuously improving culturally inclusive and CALD-responsive care. By integrating lived experience and sector expertise, the Collaborative aims to influence sector capability and policy whilst strengthening the capability of the aged care workforce to meet the needs of Australia’s diverse ageing population.
Objectives
- Co-design culturally inclusive workforce training that reflects the needs of Australia’s diverse ageing population
- Provide structured peer review and feedback to enhance the quality, relevance, and cultural responsiveness of MAC’s learning resources
- Pilot, design and evaluate training materials within real-world aged care settings to ensure continuous improvement and practical applicability
- Facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration among trainers, facilitators, and aged care practitioners
- Embed CALD lived experience and perspectives into the development of workforce learning.
- Identify workforce capability gaps and inform sector development through collective insights and advocacy
