General Manager

Italia has been working with MAC for a seven years. She possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience in the CALD communities’ sector, having served as a former teacher, public servant, and Senior Manager of Home and Community Care services at a leading CALD provider. Italia’s expertise extends to various facets of the sector, including aged care, primary and community health, work health and safety, and settlement services.

Throughout her professional journey, Italia has held positions in several state government departments, such as Multicultural S.A and Health and Ageing. During her tenure as CALD Team Leader in the HACC division of the S.A. Government, she oversaw HACC contract approvals and compliance and facilitated the transition of HACC programs to the Commonwealth CHSP. Italia remains actively engaged with the CHSP sector, offering one-to-one support to CHSP CALD community organizations with their preparation for Quality Standards assessment. Furthermore, she collaborates with CALD management committees on their strategic planning and business planning.

Italia’s work experience spans 39 years within CALD communities in metropolitan and regional S.A, making her a highly regarded professional within the CALD sector. She serves as an exceptional mentor to project officers and a valuable support to MAC management.
