Former Major General Indian Army
It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of Vikram Madan OAM (Retired Major General- Indian Army), a cherished leader and advocate within the multicultural community of Australia. Vikram’s impact as an Ambassador, Board Member, and former Chair of MAC was transformative. He played a pivotal role in advancing culturally appropriate care and ensuring that the needs and voices of CALD ageing communities were always prioritised.
Vikram Madan’s distinguished military career in the Indian Army and his invaluable work across various leadership roles in South Australia, more recently as a member of the Aged Care Council of Elders reflected his deep commitment to aged care services. His wisdom, humility, and dedication to the well-being of others left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to work with him.
His loss is profoundly felt by all of us at MAC, and our hearts go out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. We will honour his legacy by continuing the work he was so passionate about supporting our multicultural communities and ensuring dignity and respect for all in aged care.
Rest in peace, Vikram Madan. You will be deeply missed, but your legacy will endure in the hearts and lives of many.
