SUMMARY:Manual Handling Training
DESCRIPTION:This session will cover important aspects of manual handling for CHSP programs who provide care to the frail aged.\n\nManual Handling is a significant part of WHS\, which is a core component of your Quality Review process. This session is aimed at increasing and refreshing awareness and understanding of workplace manual handling tasks in an effort to prevent injuries. Participants will be able to identify and apply WHS for dealing with manual handling in the workplace. \nLearning outcomes:\n\nDiscussing a definition of manual handling\, guidelines for safe manual handling and principles of risk management\nExplaining basic anatomy & biomechanics applied to manual handling that inform facilitation of normal movement patterns\nDemonstrating of equipment used to assist safe manual handling\n\nPresenter: Nancy Kirby
