SUMMARY:How can the Diversity Framework enhance effective communication
DESCRIPTION:These informative and interactive webinar series will unpack each of six outcomes of the Diversity Framework – one by one\, in a context of culturally appropriate care provision and how these can support the implementation of the Aged Care Quality Standards – from the perspective of effective communication. \nThe webinars have been developed and will be hosted by Agnieszka Chudecka\, PICAC SA\n\nMethodology is a combination of:\n\n\n\n\ncultural safety principles\ncultural intelligence (CQ) theory and MAC 4 As Model\ncultural competence – from knowledge to skills\, and towards strategies\nhands-on examples\, scenarios and activities\na range of recommended resources available at the MAC Library to further inform your practice\n\n\n\n \nWho should attend:\n\nThe webinars are addressed to senior managers and leaders from residential\, home care and CHSP services. Particularly these currently working in aged care\, responsible for meeting aged care quality standards\, involved in quality assurance and preparation for Quality Review and the organisational Aged Care Diversity Framework organisational action plans’ development and implementation.\n\nAnticipated learning outcomes:\n\n\nincreased understanding of what is culturally appropriate care in service delivery\nimproved knowledge on how culturally appropriate care provision supports the implementation of the Aged Care Quality Standards\nimproved knowledge on how to implement the Aged Care Diversity Framework and prepare your organisation’s Aged Care Diversity Framework Action Plans\nimproved access to practical resources and tools to support the implementation of inclusion and diversity strategies.
