DESCRIPTION:  \n\nCo-designing culturally inclusive workforce learning \nThe MAC Learning & Development Collaborative is a sector-led initiative that brings together trainers\, facilitators\, and aged care practitioners to co-design and enhance workforce training with a strong focus on continuously improving culturally inclusive and CALD-responsive care. By integrating lived experience and sector expertise\, the Collaborative aims to influence sector capability and policy whilst strengthening the capability of the aged care workforce to meet the needs of Australia’s diverse ageing population. \nObjectives \n\nCo-design culturally inclusive workforce training that reflects the needs of Australia’s diverse ageing population\nProvide structured peer review and feedback to enhance the quality\, relevance\, and cultural responsiveness of MAC’s learning resources\nPilot\, design and evaluate training materials within real-world aged care settings to ensure continuous improvement and practical applicability\nFacilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration among trainers\, facilitators\, and aged care practitioners\nEmbed CALD lived experience and perspectives into the development of workforce learning.\nIdentify workforce capability gaps and inform sector development through collective insights and advocacy\n\n  \nWho Should Join? \n\nTrainers and facilitators in aged care\nLearning and Development professionals\nAged care practitioners (nurses\, personal care workers\, allied health)\nQuality and compliance staff\nBilingual and bicultural workers\nCALD community and consumer representatives\nSector stakeholders interested in workforce capability\n\nWays to participate \n\nAttend collaborative online meetings and contribute to discussions\nJoin thematic working groups to co-design training resources\nReview and provide feedback on learning materials\nPilot and evaluate training in practice\nShare experiences\, case studies and best practices\nSupport sector consultation and advocacy\n\nWhy Join? \nBe part of a collaborative initiative that embeds lived experiences and shapes the future of aged care learning.
